At Boogalgopal, the breeding of a good strong polled animal is an ongoing challenge.

DNA testing

We are currently undergoing collection of tail samples of a number of our polled sires and prospective sires for detection of the homozygous gene for this trait. This could be an exciting step towards the selection for a desirable ,strong commercially productive polled animal.
